Two Postdoctoral Researcher positions are available from 1 July, 2021 at ELTE - Eötvös University, Budapest in the MTA-ELTE „Lendület” Laboratory Astrochemistry Research Group.
1) One of the candidates will work on a newly constructed setup, designed for special astrochemical ice experiments and H atom reactions of complex organic molecules in solid para-H2. The candidate should have an experience in molecular spectroscopy and vacuum techniques; she/he should have a Ph. D. in chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, astronomy or materials science. Former experience in a laboratory astrochemistry group is a benefit. The position is open for 1 year with a possible extension to 2 years.
2) The other candidate will work on computational astrochemistry in a collaboration with Prof. Péter Szalay (ELTE). Her/his work will mostly support the experimental work of the MTA-ELTE „Lendület” Laboratory Astrochemistry Research Group. The candidate should have an experience in computational quantum chemistry, and should have a Ph. D. in chemistry or physics. The position is open for 1 year with a possible extension up to 5 years.
The successful candidates will participate in international collaborations.
Enquires and applications with a short motivation letter and a cv should be sent to Prof. György Tarczay, gyorgy.tarczay@ttk.elte.hu.
